I recently started a quest to find the best burger in the Metro-Atlanta area, and have now moved on to find the best in southern cooking. I will be actively looking for restaurants to critique, especially those that pertain to southern cooking or soul food. I know from 30 years of personal experience about southern food, so I will be a tough critic when it comes to food from the south. I will be open to different interpretations of southern food, but I will not slack in my duty of good-taste.

     The Dillard House is the quintesential southern restaurant. OMG... the amount of food you will have at the table is unthinkable. I recently went there with my wife and daughter and we received enough food to feed 10 people. I know that this is the equivalent of "southern hospitality," but I also know how to feed large groups of people. Like I said I was raised in a family of over 100 (southern) people.
